BANJALUKA - The president of Republika Srpska will organise fireworks in the Banjaluka Krajina Square on Wednesday evening on the occasion of the Presentation of the Lord - the Serbian Statehood Day.

KARLOVAC - President Milorad Dodik said Wednesday equipping the police of Republika Srpska is in compliance with the standards valid for police forces in the region.

KARLOVAC - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said Wednesday the Vice-President Ramiz Salkic’s salary will be cut by 20 per cent for working against Entity institutions and asserted that next time the cut could be even bigger.

BANJALUKA - National Assembly Speaker Nedeljko Cubrilovic wished a Happy Serbian Statehood Day to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, highest officials and all Serbian citizens on Wednesday saying that only a strong Serbia can guarantee a firmer and more stable position of Republika Srpska.

BANJALUKA - The Srpska Government on Wednesday adopted the energy balance plan for 2018 envisaging the generation of 7,957.55 Gigawatt-hours of electricity.

BANJALUKA - The total foreign trade turnover of Republika Srpska in 2017 was BAM 8.334 billion, BAM 1.063 billion or 14.63 per cent higher than the one in 2016, reads the information adopted by the Srpska Government on Wednesday.

BANJALUKA - Minister of Labour and Protection of Veterans and Disabled Persons Milenko Savanovic wished a Happy Veterans Day and First Serbian Uprising Day, February 14 to all demobbed veterans of the Army of Republika Srpska and Veterans Association, saying that the date symbolises the eternal struggle of the Serb people for survival and staying in these parts.

CELINAC - Minister of Health and Social Welfare Dragan Bogdanic delivered the keys to new emergency vehicles to heads of health centres in Prnjavor, Pale, Han Pijesak, Rudo, Sekovici and Celinac at the Celinac Sveti Vracevi Health Centre on Wednesday, whose total value is BAM448,300.

BANJALUKA - SNSD Secretary General Luka Petrovic told Srna that BiH Minister of Security Dragan Mektic cannot be a legitimate representative of Republika Srpska and that his statement about genocide in Srebrenica reveals obedience and allegiance of a subject.

BANJALUKA - The Organisation of Military Officers of the Army of Republika Srpska sharply condemns the statement by Minister of Security Dragan Mektic condemning the Serb people and calling them genocidal seeking their catharsis, said the organisation leader Milovan Milutinovic.

VISEGRAD - The Veterans Day of Republika Srpska and 214th anniversary of the First Serbian Uprising was marked in the monastery Dobrun outside Visegrad on Wednesday.

PALE - Members of the veteran association Beli Vukovi in Pale celebrated their patron saint’s day on Wednesday - St Trifun the Martyr /which falls on Feb 16/ with a church service for their fallen veterans, laying of wreaths to the central monument to fallen veterans and to the monument to the commander of the special unit, Srdjan Knezevic.

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

SARAJEVO - The second tranche under the Extended Fund Facility /EFF/ with the International Monetary Fund /IMF/ was transferred to the account of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina /CBBH/, in the amount of BAM 145,828,712 /equivalent to SDR 63,412,500/.

SARAJEVO - The Council of Ministers unanimously adopted the answers to the European Commission Questionnaire on Wednesday.

SARAJEVO – In a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushoglu in Kuwait, BiH Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak confirmed that a trilateral ministerial conference between BiH, Croatia and Turkey would take place in Mostar on February 28.

BRCKO - Three Libyan nationals were taken into custody on Tuesday night after they illegally entered BiH from Croatia near Brcko, Jovan Stojicic, head of the Brcko field centre of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, told Srna.

SARAJEVO - Classes in the Bihac and Cazin primary and secondary schools have been suspended due to new snowfall.

SERBIA

BELGRADE - The orchestra of the Serbian Army Guard staged a march from the Republic Square and the Knez Mihailova Street to the Military Museum at Kalemegdan in Belgrade on Wednesday marking the Presentation of the Lord - the Serbian Statehood Day.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Serbia will fulfil all its obligations towards the Croatian minority in the country which he discussed during his visit to Zagreb, but expects the EU and Croatia to show they can do the same for the Serbs in Croatia.

BELGRADE - German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel stated after a meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that Serbia is extremely important for the stability of the Western Balkans and that the EU is interested in relaxing the relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

KARLOVAC - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik said Wednesday a considerable number of Serbs disappeared from Karlovac after the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia but continued to live in the Croatian city as normally as possible. /end/ds
